I'm a little disappointed to see that some of the prototype balls have shown up on ebay.

I have taken part in 2 previous test and would never consider putting them up on ebay.

Hey Bubba,  I have received test balls on couple of occasions and really enjoy participating in the feedback. My question is, does titleist ever send out other equipment or accessories for evaluation?  I look forward to your response.  Thanks.

    Hi Ricky,

    Thanks for the question.

We do not send out other pieces of equipment to test, only golf balls.  Hopefully you will be on the next list to receive some white sleeves.

    Thanks again for your support.

    Hi Tim,

Thanks for the post and like you, we're also disappointed when we see the prototypes show up on auction sites. We do our best to guard against this but unfortunately there is only so much we can do.

We truly value all of the feedback we receive from the test panels and we know the vast majority of the Team Titleist members who receive the prototypes take the testing seriously.

Again, the good news is that  the vast, vast majority of Team Titleist members that are selected take part in the testing and have fun doing it. And like you said, most members would never consider listing the prototypes.

Thanks again for the post and thanks for being a part of Team Titleist.

    Cheers,

    Mike

i just received some prototype balls last week and this will be my first test and could not be more excited. its unfortunate that some of the people are selling theirs but i know alot of people take this a little more serious serious than others. i for one am grateful for the opportunity to participate and look forward to being a tester on future products. thank you to the staff at titleist for for giving me this opportunity

just played a round with the circle protos. didnt have time to play them versus the square or another ball yet because i tried to beat the rain so i dont have exact specs as of yet. they came off the club true and felt solid, if i had to guess they are the pro v protos but im not entirely sure yet. i did shoot one of my best score so far this year at 78 from the tips. they played soft when landing from 100 out but not much backspin but then again i wasnt happy with some of the shots i put on the ball which is on me and not the ball. overall with 1 round with the circle i was pleasently surprised. i hope have better info and more detailed specs by sunday

Wow!  That is shocking.  What benefit would it be to put these test balls on ebay?  $$ can't be enough to justify it.

You are given a test product - an expression of faith & thanks - then yo put htem on ebay????  Ridiculous.

I know I had a blast testing them....in fact the course liked them so much, the water hazard took 1, the other one plugged into mud so deep that we could have drilled for it, and probably stil wouldnt have found it (thank you S. Ga dirt)....and the other one I gave to a buddy to hit to see how he liked them....Sure wish I could get more of the sqare balls...they were awesome!!! THANK YOU TITLEIST!!!!

I agree with you guys, not sure why people do that....had the same issue with outdoor/hunting items guys tested....

I agree.  It's atrocious some TT members feel a couple of bucks is worth more than being a part of the next generation of ball.

I checked out the auction sites and it looks like they aren't even selling for that much.  Take the fees out and they are practically giving the balls away.  The privilege of getting to test a prototype Titleist golf ball is "worth" way more than the couple bucks you can make.  It's sad some people are stooping to that level.
