  1. I had a very good ball fitting with Luke in Atlanta today. I have been playing the Pro V1X since its introduction and I was interested to see that on TrackMan the there was not as much difference in the performance data between the 2 balls. Luke recommended that I stay with the X I immediately went out an played 9 holes - I'd still be out there if it hadn't started raining - using both the 2019 Pro V1X Prototype and the current version. Sort of a mini side-by-side comparison.

What I learned about the new ball is that: - It is a little longer on tee shorts with the drive. In 6 drives, using a TS2 TPT17, 2-8 yards greater distance - I had more control and more confidence chipping with the prototype. - Longer putts felt better, more solid. A very small sample size but this is a better ball. All to often ball upgrades are, meh, higher prices but I think Titleist may be on to something with the 2019 Pro V1X. Good work Titleist!

Where in Atlanta did you do the fitting? Also, is Luke a Titleist certified fitter (since I missed out on the last Titleist Thursday at Bear's Best)?

i got fitted at Grand Del Mar in San Diego by the team and since my swing change i am now an X player instead of V. The ball has a different sound off the face that the previous models.

I really enjoyed the height and the reduced spin on both models.
