I used to switch from from a Pro V1 to a NXT Tour S for a few years then I realized it didn't matter much. I now take into account that the ball isn't going to fly as far or check up as well and it will roll a bit more due to colder harder conditions, so now I play my Pro V1's all year long.

This way in my opinion I don't get any false feedback because of something that happened during colder months I can't duplicate during warmer months because of changing balls. If it's a cold(er) March or April I know what my ball will do because I played it in December thru February if the weather lets me.

Plus my Pro V's still feel softer than an NXT during the colder months & that is a feeling I like far better than a firm feeling at anytime.

Play the same ball you always play. Why change? Just hit one more club club when conditions change. I play my Prov1 the year round.

I believe Titleist recommends sticking with the same ball year round. I've come around to that way of thinking, myself, particularly since the 2017 and on Pro V1's are softer. I used to use NXT Tour S, or TruSofts's, but any advantage I thought I might have gained was lost on the green.

I would say play the same ball all year, My golf coach said to find 1 that works for you and stay with it. Keep it consistent and simple.

The story so lo is a very good cold weather ball because it is soft. The cold negates a lot of performance anyway so why not make sure the feel is awesome even in cold weather. I use them with my garage simulator on 20 degree winter days

Softer balls like Pro V1 over X, even Tour Soft, flew and performed better. If you have something to keep balls warm, even better.

Playing softer balls can definitely help. I find that in really cold conditions rotating between 3 balls, and keeping 2 of them in a jacket pocket or insulated area really helps. Because when the balls get too cold they wont compress as much thus the ball wont go as far.

I don't switch balls. I just play an older model Pro V1x

I play the same ball, ProV1, year round in all types of weather and playing conditions. I make adjustments to my shot selection and club selection. The golf ball, which is the only piece of equipment that is used during every shot, does not become a variable. My recommendation is that you try a similar approach.

During the winter months I tend to play the AVX over the Pro V1. I do this because it goes about five yards longer and gets me a little closer to my stock yardages. The only downside is that you absolutely cannot play this ball during the winter and expect check even with a full wedge.

I play the same ball most of the time. If it is really wet, like most Portland winter days, I will use my older balls. I hate losing a ball in fairway when it plugs too deep.
