Alignment Lines

  1. Soo, Titleist decided to finally start offering alignment lines to their golf balls. That is great and all but personally, the lines that they are offering do not seem to be helpful. They are no where big enough to truly help you in aiming your putts. cally's Triple Track is the perfect alignment set up, now I understand Titleist would not be able to incorporate the Triple Track line on their ball due to copywriting issues but I am dying for a bigger and longer alignment option. Personally, I would love to see an option with a solid line that goes from 1 half of the golf ball to the other. I would 100% buy more Titleist golf balls if this were an option. I know I know I can just draw the line on the ball myself, but lets be realistic, 1) that gets tiring and 2) the line smudges after a few hits and 3) the line hardly ever comes out perfect/filled and straight.

So, my request, Titleist please add a longer, solid, line option to the Alignment Line choices! ANYONE ELSE AGREE?!?!

Kevin, check out Alignment XL on Golfballs.com Whether it's Titleist or a vendor like Golfballs.com, the lines have to be added post-production. That will always limit the style and volume due to demand and cost. I personally like putting where the blank side is visible, using no site line. So many people will have individual preferences that it will be difficult for a manufactured solution. This third-party is a good alternative.
  3. wow I had no idea that golfballs.com did that, i just checked it out that's awesome! That is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you! Nothing better than golfer forums

The alignment line is a nice feature, but then your local pro shop would have to carry double the inventory to accommodate the players that want an alignment line vs. those players who don't. In my regular Men's night group, I am the only player out of 5 that uses a sharpie line on the ball.

There are tools you are able to buy from Golftown that keep the line straight. My lines fade but don't smudge and adding the line is not a problem for me.

Instead of a line, Titleist could repeat the word Titleist around the ball and still achieve the same effect.

Realistically, unless the tour players request the line on the ball...it will never happen. Obviously Tilteist is No. 1 and doesn't have to copy a competitor's idea to sell more product.
  5. Just put it on with a Sharpie.

Make the line as long as you like

Adding a line while my wife is watching a cooking show gives me something to do for 20-25 minutes per dozen and that lasts me a couple of months. I can pick other colors besides black (green on yellow is Packer loyalty). Won't be paying an upcharge any time soon.

Totally agree, Kevin. I've been saying this for years. I posted a photo a while ago on this site about the exact same thing.
This option should be offered during the loyalty buy 3, get one free promo.
Here's my rendition of what the ball should look like.
