  1. It’s my first year really getting into golf and I’m absolutely loving it and feel like a natural! I’ve been using the chrome soft balls a lot because of the feel of it and they help with my ball placement. Any recommendations for other balls as my golf game improves? Not really looking for tour/pro level balls just a solid go to for medium skilled golfers.

  2. If you tend to lose multiple sleeves a round and/or spray the ball around the course, premium balls won't help much. However, if you tend to keep it within bounds, and have at least some decent clubhead speed, a premium ball is going to almost always be better for carry distance and control, it compresses a lot faster and spins more due to its construction. Anything with a 3 piece construction or higher will suffice, however the more layers = more spin = more control. A softer 2 piece ball tends to not spin alot which off the tee and on the fairway you can get away with. However, around the greens is where the trouble starts, they only roll, and that's why a lot of amateurs struggle sticking it on approach and higher lob shots. 3 piece balls usually range at around $24-40. Personally I like srxn and maxfli's lineup, prov1s are still the king.

Hi Davis! The Chrome Soft is actually a premium construction golf ball. If you like the feel, give Pro V1 a try. Any of the "x" golf balls are going to feel significantly harder if you've grown accustomed to that particular soft feel. That said, you may want to give Pro V1x a try as well to see if some added spin helps your game. You may find that it's worth the harder feel if it helps get the ball closer to the hole. The most important thing to remember when choosing a ball it to select the one that performs best for you from 150 yards and in, then fit the top end of the bag to the ball that gets you the best results into the green. Best of luck and enjoy the game!!
