    I recently started to play velocity balls instead of my normal AVX. I am hitting the longer, faster and straighter. This is 4 rounds. Is it the confidence? What is it? Anyone else experience this?

    I prefer PRO V1 and Chrome Tour Triple Diamonds. One thing that gets in my head, using old/found balls with smudging and marks. Don’t know why. Seems ball snobby on my part, I know.

    There’s a Titleist ball for everyone. Velocity is a popular choice if you need length over stopping power. The downside being that the Velocity will tend to run out on iron shots into firm greens. You are spot-on in how important confidence is in playing this crazy game. Have fun out there.
