  1. Came out of a golf academy and recommended golf ball would be the -Pro V1. I go back and forth between AVX and Pro V1. AVX just doesn’t bite around the green like the V1, but I need lower flight and spin on longer clubs. Recommendation was to go with srxn, tried a round with that and it def does not feel, nor fly, the same. Any way to get the left dash V1?

How do you mean "get the Left Dash"? They're available in pro shops, golf stores and on the website.

I have gamed the left dash since it was introduced. It is clearly the best ball for my game. I would buy a sleeve or two and play a few holes with different balls and compare them side by side. Nothing works better than an actual field test.
  4. I agree. I go back and forth between AVX and ProV1. I played ProV1x before they swapped it and V1 flight trajectories. I’ve tried TP5, Bridgestone, Chrome Soft and srxn, even tried Wilson last year. I play in windy conditions often and hit it high with lots of backspin. AVX is my usual ball for those conditions, but I strongly prefer the V1 if I’m not dealing with heavy gusts.
The other thing I’d say is balls change characteristics often and I find it easier to stick with Titleist rather than learn a whole new family of balls only to have them adjust what I liked the next year.
Most golfers need help getting the ball in the air - clubs, shafts and balls reflect that. Meanwhile I have to buy triple diamond low spin stuff. Which is why I don’t extra see mass market options for this particular left dash, but I know they make ‘em.

Tom, are you meaning to ask for Pro V1 Left DOT? There are no current CPOs dashing a variant of the V1 that I know of. There are several dot versions of the V1x and one of the V1, the latter is offered sparingly through limited public releases.

There is no such thing as Left Dash Pro V1, there is only Left Dash Pro V1x, which is likely what they were recommending.

Good catch, it never even occurred to me that he would be talking about a ball that doesn't exist.

Or does it?? (Titleist....you have a CPO in the oven that that we don't know about??? lol)

The Left DOT Pro-V1 is one of 2-3 balls from the CPO group on tour used by a small number of pros. Tony Finau is the most well-known user. IF not the only one. There were some others but some changes to the Pro-V1 with the 2023 release.

There have been 2-3 limited releases to the public that has created a ground swell of anticipation or hope it becomes a retail item. We have no idea on the marketing plans of Titleist. If it only benefits a low % of amateurs, then shelf space is an issue for dealers.
