looking for some advice here, 11 handicap who loses more strokes on the green than anywhere else.  I am frustrated beyond all belief, play a scotty 2.6 but i am strongly thinking of moving to a long or mid size Kombi for some help...

i was hoping to get some feedback from anyone playing this style of putter and how it has gone for them and any tips they may offer on using / buying one. thanks

Personally I think belly putters should be illegal in golf because they ruin the game. It is so much easier to putt with them and they look ridiculous. Unless you can't bend over that much, don't buy it

Well, everytime IBFinch sees you using it, he will try very hard to make a controversy about the legality of the long putter.

I've tried both the belly and long putters, I can't use them.

But I didn't try the Wie method(she's the first I've seen doing it), instead of anchoring the belly putter to her belly, she anchors it to her left forearm, keeping her left forearm straight with the putter shaft.

Keeping my left forearm in line with the putter shaft is the main idea of my putting, and with a regular putter I do putt pretty good. And from what I saw last week Wie's putting has improved. But of course, like everyone with every club, she could just be going thru a good putting phase, so it may have nothing to do with her putter or style of using it.

Anchoring the shaft to the length of your left forearm does look like a good idea.

Actually, Matt Kuchar did it first. People need to get over people using them. Ernie Els is against them but he still uses one.

But watch out, if you putt too well with it your buddies, that use game improvement drivers and irons, will have a fit about you using a putter that helps you putt better.
