hello i am a all titleist player expect my driver !

    i am playing a r9 now.

i am of 10 and my swing speed is about 100 mph every shot.

i hit the ball straight and my bad shots go on a little draw or little fade.

what driver the d2 or d3 and reg or stiff would be best for me.

    cheers

If my bad shots were a little draw or a little fade, I don't think I would change drivers.

You should probably use a stiff flexed D3-if u hit the ball 260 or more consistently. If u hit the ball less than 250 almost every shot but swing fast, u should go with a stiff D2. Good question!

stick with your R9 if you hit it well

I would go with a d3 for more control and shot making capabilities.

Find a local Titleist fitter and hit a variety of lofts and shafts. Be sure to bring your current driver for comparision. If you find something that is longer/straighter/more consistant than the current driver it will be immediatly obvious. If the fitter can't get you into something better than what you have now (which I doubt!) then you will know that your current driver is the "perfect fit" for you.

    Good Luck!

I echo 19Hole - go get fit for your driver.   Let the experts do their job and you will be pleasantly surprised.

I just made the switch from an R9 to the 910 D2 and am very happy. My swing speed is right at 100 MPH and I went with the made-for-Titleist Kai 'Li stiff shaft, which I also have in my 910 Fd 3-wood. The feel with this shaft is just about perfect for me . . . I can feel the shaft load, but it's not at all whippy, just nice and stable through the ball.

With the D2 I can make a nice smooth swing and get the distance I was getting from the R9 with my hardest swings, but the ball flight is much straighter. The D2 is just easier for me to hit and it seems to generate a significantly less side spin than I was getting with the R9, so my misses aren't as pronounced.

Definitely demo the D2 and D3.

  9. Please change to Titleist. the R9 and R 11 is so overrated. a lot of people go for the D3 because they believe they can "work" the ball. the only work you want on the ball is as stright as possible. I have played both and have tried many different shafts. I would go with the D2 and take extra effort to find the right shaft and setting. If Rory Mc use a D2 and he can "work" the ball why would it not work for you. also stick with the 3 different Diamana shafts in S flex or the Project X 5.5 or 6.0 again the RIP is a mass production shaft and out of all the sghafts we tested found the biggest flex veriations between different shafts in the RIP. I have not played Titleist Driver for a long time but the 910 D2 is the best driver I have ever played. it does not hit 30 yrds further then my old FT Tour or R9 (regret the purchase) it is very balanced and with the Accra shaft that I had fitted gives me a great ball flight and consistant performance.

Obviously see a fitter but i would say Go with a D2 with that swing speed. I think the D2 would probably benifit you the most with a Stiff shaft. But like always see a fitter. the right shaft and loft lie is the most important thing. Cheers Fairways and Greens Simba

It depends. You should get on Shot Tracker and try them both with a pro.
