    I just bought a set of AP2's....5-pw....project x 5.5 shafts 1/2" extra length....standard lie. The clubs are gorgeous...great feel

to them....just love them. However, I find that I do not get as much distance  as I expected. I still hit the ball fairly high with the

project x 5.5 shafts. I am thinking that I might need to go back to graphite shafts, or go to a different steel shaft to get my ball flight

"down". I am looking for some suggestions....I am 63 years old, shoot in the mid 70's....still a pretty good player.

Have them delofted about 2 degrees and go with the DG S300 shafts they are the best shaft for this club.

    Tom,

Both de-lofting and moving to a heavier shaft should help you bring down your ball flight.  My recommendation would be to head to Arkansas Golf Center and have them properly fit you.  Going to a heavier shaft will bring the ball flight down, but it is one of the heavier shafts we offer, so finding the optimum ball flight would be more important.
