I am currently play 09 xforged Callys(+1/2,2 degrees strong KBS Tour s soft stepped 1 time) and I am thinking of going with the 712 cbs or AP2s. I have a 4 handicap and i hit my 6 iron around 170 yards. What do you think wold be the best iron for me between the two? I think i would also like to hit the ball lower so would you suggest going to the KBS C-TAPER from the KBS Tour? I diffenently like the KBS feel better than TTDG. Thanks

Since you were already using forged irons, I think the CB would be a better choice because of performance. But it still boils down to preference. Demo them when they come out. That's what I'm going to do. Good luck!

I'm a +2 handicap and got fit by titleist at their oceanside facility.  I went in wanting to get the mb's but ended up with the ap2's.  They put tour issue s400's in them to make the flight lower like the mb's but still spin a little.  My long irons are bent progressively strong a degree.  I hit my 6 iron 185.  I strike the ball pretty pure but everyone misses shots once in a while.  My rare misses hurt me much less with these clubs compared with guys I play with that are still hitting blades.  I think sometimes people overlook the fact that the ap2's are indeed a forged club.  They have a perfect blend of feel, looks, forgiveness, and workability.  There is a long list of pga players using the ap2's.  In my opinion the ap2's feel a little softer than the cb's and the mb's, so you could even go to a dynamic gold or project x to lower the flight while keeping the soft feel of the kbs tour shafts.  The cb's with the kbs tours would be a great choice as well.  Just depends on how much spin you need.  Can't wait for the 712's!  I'll be ordering the 712 ap2's with the same specs as my current 710 ap2's.  Good luck with the club buying process.  You won't be disappointed with the ap2's.  Don't know of anyone that doesn't absolutely love them.
