The Monterey has more toe flow than the face balanced squareback....thus the squareback should feel easier to hit more putts...the most toe flow (toe flow aka open and close the gate swinging method) is found on the Napa putters although they are not in the current lineup. Another face balanced putter that you might wish to try is the Fastback which is similar to the squareback. Good luck!
