Yes, recently I saw Scotty at an event and asked him...they will be released in April approximately. From what I can tell the debut of a black kombi is the big news.

I've been using a Newport for the past few years, but the kombi has recently caught me eye. I miss a lot of 5 footers so I thnk Mugabe could benefit from it. I play on extremely fast greens though so I am scared to switch from my Newport though. How is the Kombi on slick greens an for lag putting?
The Kombi being a mallet putter is not as great for "feel" putters like a newport....it excels for helping putt straighter and making off center putts role more true. It is face balanced so "SBST" Straight Back Straight Through putting style is easier for the average golfer...having said this you see lots of Kombi and Kombi S putters on tour! The Kombi is no problem for me on slick greens and lag putting however if you are a big feel putter it will take some getting used to....however that will be offset by all the shorter putts you are going to make! I have at least 7 of these putters in different models (Kombi and Kombi S), colors and lengths (and swingweights)....I am constantly amazed how forgiving this putter is!
Cheers!

is the Newport 2.6 straight in a face balanced putter?

The newport 2.6 is NOT face balanced...there is toe hang...
The Newport 2.7 is perfectly face balanced...virtually no toe hang
