Steve Stricker and Webb Simpson are using drivers w/910d headcovers this week in Hawaii. It appear on TV that they are NOT use 910's as the face of the club is stainless steel, the club sole is stainless and the hozel does not appear to be adjustable. What drive is this? I am looking at purchasing a 910D but do not want to spend upwards of $400.00 for a club that may soon be not be the newest offered by Titleist.

    Hi William,

Here are some links to the player pages for Steve Stricker and Webb Simpson. We keep these pages up-to-date with the latest information on what equipment they currently have in their bag. As you can see, both are currently using 909 series drivers this week.

Stricker seems to be one of the slowest pros to adopt new equipment. I think he just switched from the 906 driver to the 909 driver in 2011. I don't think it says anything bad about the new equipment. Pros can beat you with persimmon and steel shafts and they get attached to clubs and don't always want to change. --Jerry
  4. Johnny miller did say in the broadcast that the 2 were playing"new" drivers and were excited about the additional 15 yards they were getting. He also said that Webb had cracked his driver in the 2nd round.
