Im currently gaming a 910 D3 8.5 w/ MFT Ahina 72g. I was in the simulator this week on two separate occasions and my spin rates seem to be kinda high. I was launching the ball at 12-14* with spin in the 3300rpm range. Swing speed was averaging around 100-102 with a carry in the 260 range and rolling out about 7-8 yards. Was thinking of changing to the PX 7c3 to reduce some spin and lower my launch. Any thoughts?

    Andrew,

That shaft wouldn't be the suggestion I would recommend to reduce spin and launch angle.  It actually promotes a slightly higher launch, but may help you reduce some of that spin.  If our looking to do both, and stay within the Titleist stock shafts, you may want to consider the Aldila RIP 60.

    Andrew,

I meant to say, you may want to also consider tipping the shaft 1/2"-1" to also see the results you are looking for (the ahina 72g).  I would just be cautious you aren't taking out to much of the feel or making it too stiff.

Would have no issue going outside of the stock shafts if it produced the best numbers possible. Ive hit the rip 60 and it seemed very stiff or "boardy" to me. I would also like to find a local titleist rep that carries more than the stock shafts in their carts. Most places within 5mi of me just have the five stock shaft options in the cart. Thanks for the help.
