AP2 KBS Shafts

    I'm trying to figure out what shafts to get for my AP2's. I plan on getting the AP2's for 6-PW and possibly 1 degree strong so they're the same loft as my current png G10s. I'm considering getting the KBS Tour 90 shafts for 'em but from what people are saying the AP2 irons fly high so I was thinking the regular KBS Tour irons may be what I want. I demoed the AP2s today with regular DG shaft and I liked the ball flight. Any advice on this? I also plan on getting an AP1 5 irons and a 24 degree hybrid to cover the 4 irons. I'm about a 5 handicap that can hit my 7 iron about 155 with my club head speed around 84 MPH.  Any advice?

    Hi Xander: I would say, since you tested the AP2 with a DG shaft, you should definitely consider that shaft. If possible, seek advice from your favorite Titleist professional to see if the ball flight you prefer makes since from a fitting perspective. I would also consider testing the 21 and 24 hybrids before committing to the AP1 5 iron. I suspect you are right in the window of a playable trajectory 5 iron and 4 iron if your 7 iron carry is 155. You might find similar carries for an AP1 5 iron and 24 Hybrid... or the hybrid may fly too high/spin too much.

    I second seeing a fitter. The KBS Tour typically flies higher than the Dynamic Gold. If you like the flight with DG, you may not like the KBS. I hit the ball high and the KBS was too high for me.
