Being on the Team Titleist forum has inspired me to morph slowly. I've been playing Vokeys since 2007 (briefly tried another brand in 2009) and have played 975D and 983K drivers, 975F and 980F fairways.

    910F 19* Bassara A flex set to B3

    910H 24* Bassara R flex set to B3

910H 27* Bassara R flex enroute (expect to receive next Mon) - expect to set to B3.

    AP1 7-PW  DG HL R300

    Spin Milled c-c  50-08 (1* strong) and 54-14

    SM4 60-10 (1* strong)

Non-Titleist (these are fave clubs that have done the trick and will remain until they break)

2007 Burner HT (13*) Draw driver 44.5" M flex - may replace it with 910D2 12* Bassara A flex next year; it works well now.  Driver prices are a bit steep (even on eBay) and it isn't broke yet.

Louisville HL3 34* persimmon hybrid with steel shaft (this is my specialty club, so it remains, regardless).

White Hot 7H putter - can't justify the $350 expense of a Scotty just yet and it has been saving me 2-3 strokes per round vs my old putter.  I also prefer mallet putters.

I played with a 2007 Burner 7 wood and SQ2 5/26 and 7/34 hybrids, along with Eye 2 irons (which I only used the 8 and 9 irons because the 5-7 were spotty and my 50-08 was used as a PW) for about a year and a half.   I briefly tried Superfast 1.0 5-18 and 4-21 and Superfast 2.0 6-27.  The 7 wood and the two SQ2s had a bit of a high trajectory but I generally hit them well and main reason about parting with the 7 wood was I hit a high fade off  the tee.  I also had to cut the Superfasts 1" and use a Dri Tac Lite grip to restore swingweight and I actually hit them well. My main issue with these clubs was an occasional push shot or block off the tee.  I could hit them very well off the deck.

I've had the AP1s 6 months now.   I gained a club vs the Eye 2s and have no problem with the 7 iron.  I also have seen improvement with my approach game from 150 and less and I have been hitting dead center on the short par 3s.

I was out browsing and saw the 910F 19* at an unbelievable price and it had the shaft I wanted so I traded the 5-18 and 4-21.   I hit the 910F (set at 20.5) the same distance as the 5-18 and with a better trajectory.   I also found the 910H 24* much easier to hit and had better feel vs the 6-27.  No problem off the tee either.  The 910s just plain feel better and hit better!

My score on the par 72 courses is between 85-88 average.  On the exec courses I score near par.

I'm doing what you are.  I finally ordereded my first Titleist club the 910f 3 wood.  I chose this first because of the great low price and I was lacking distance from driver to hybrid.  I currently use the R11 driver and love it.  The club fits my eye and is very easy to hit.  In the near future I plan on upgrading my irons to the AP1's. (currently play Ignites)  I love the looks of these irons compared to any other game improvment irons.  For putter I also love the look of the SC GoLo with the black finish, but like Lou said I can't afford to fork out the 350 for it.  Right now i only have 56* Vr Rev which is amazing.  It will be staying in the bag for awhile, but may add some other Vokeys.  I love posts like these where people share what they have.  I know Titleist has where you list all of the clubs on your profile, but it doesnts show what non Titleist clubs you have.  Good job on this on Lou!

I'm one of the "if it isn't broke, don't fix it" school plus I have a knack for bargains.  I also have all my parameters (club length, lie angle, shaft type, loft, etc) charted on an Excel spreadsheet.

I also played with do it yourself irons (constructed a set of Snake Eyes Q3I 5-SW irons in 2009 and used them until Mar 2011) so I learned a bit about fitting.

Part of my acquisition process is taking advantage of the "90 day playability guarantee" at GM and trade-ins.

Hahaha I use the excel sheet for all of my specs too! Great for referencing when looking at clubs. Alsoade a full switch to Titleist over the last year and a bit. However I have used 990 DCI irons for about 10 years now.......not broke however as the years go by Ido think about a combo set of CB and MB irons 712

I actually carried X/31 irons for 26 years (my dad originally got them new in 1967 and handed them to me in 1979).  My dad carried a set of Hogan Apex for about 25.  He still uses an Acushnet Bullseye putter that he has had since well before 1957.

but you know i am missing a security badge older from titleist if anyone at titleist is reading. i could use a car decal. and you know what if you have one of those driving Irons laying around i could use one of those two there is a course i play that has a few iron only wholes and a driving iron would help hahahaha.

cheers greens and fairways to all
