I was fit for my AP 1's at an Advanced Fitting Center and got KuroKage 65 R-Flex. My driver swing speed is 88 MPH, as measured on Trackman. My suggestion for you is to do the same and get properly fit.

I'm at the same driver speed, but at 82 when I was fit for 712 AP1, so I have the GD 65's in A-flex.  Once the ball stops skidding across the ice, I'll be rechecking the 712 A flex to see if I want to refit the 712 with an R flex or get a 714 in the lower irons (starting with the 7I).  Key - my fitter will be working with me on gaps and settings on metal woods.

Good question Kenneth. I went to a demo days last year and took my AP1 6 iron with DG R300 shaft (R flex) The fitter set me up with a AP1 6 iron with the GDI Tour65i graph "A" flex and I only gained 2 yrd. more distance. My driver club head speed is 83-85 mph.
