Long, cold, white winter led me to pursue my other passion, guitar, and I decided to sell my Futura X Dual Balance to fund some new gear.  Made a great purchase with the funds, but now that golf season has returned, I haven't made much of anything on the greens.  So, bought another Futura two weekends ago and with the exception of distance control, putting has improved dramatically.

Note to self, when you find a putter that really works, don't sell it!!

Putters are one thing that I rarely sell, bad because I rarely buy a new putter........I did purchase a Scotty newport 2 notchback Select when they came out and am still using it, even with the black wearing out......gives it character.......just bought some Sharpie Paint (red) and painted all the letters and it looks sharp and like an antique....putts pretty darn well too.......have it calibrated every now and then....have a tendency to lean on it too much......bad chuck.......was off 4 degrees when I took it in last week.....guys, it's never the arrow, always the indian.....ha..ha...

Really Chuck?  I always tend to blame my golf on something besides me!!  In the end, I guess you are right.

As far as the Futura X Dual Balance, this is a great club.  I have gone back and forth between different putters in my bag and can say that the Futura X Dual Balance is here to stay.  I really like the stability of the club from the takeaway through impact... it just feels solid.  You can count on the fact that there are no plans for me selling this club!

I selected a Futura X Dual Balance 38 inch putter during the Oceanside Experience Giveaway back in December.  Over the next 4 months I used it but was never totally comfortable with it.  So I switched back and forth with my more traditional Scotty Cameron that I have had for 4 years.  After some lengthy practice sessions, I decided to take ONLY the Futura on a 4 day trip to Pinehurst the first week of May.  On the second day, I putted really well and have not looked back.   This putter is solid and the 50 gram counterweight really helps to stabilize my stroke, especially from 10 feet in.   Several of my partners and buddies have told me that my stroke has never been better.   This putter is in the bag to stay along with my other 13 Titleist clubs.

no - it wasn't the arrow vs indian debate (this time).  More of a rob from Peter (golf fun) to pay Paul (electric guitar playing fun).  Now, I have both!!!
