Hi Dennis,
Great question.
While every golfer is different, in general the higher you tee the ball, the better. There are two main reasons for this:
1) The sweet spot of the driver is just above the equator.
2) Teeing it higher promotes a more positive angle of attack in one's swing. This generally increases launch, decreases spin, increases ball speed and results in more distance.
There is a science behind the old phrase "tee it high and let it fly".
Hope this helps.

Tee it high and let it fly is a good motto to go by !

I've started teeing the ball higher this season and I must say that it has promoted a much better trajectory off the club face and I find that I'm hitting the ball more consistently on or nearer the sweet spot. My problem is getting ahead of the ball occasionally and slicing. But I would definitely suggest trying to get used to teeing the ball higher.

I get a little hook on mine when I tee up sometimes because I try to hit to hard and get out of tempo. Tee it high and let it fly does not mean swing harder......that Prov1 really travels when you tee it up with a sweet swing......
