    Hi again,

I currently play forged irons and will be looking to upgrade as my iron play has improved immensely and my scores have dropped. Probably need new shafts, yet for that cost will treat myself to new irons. I love the soft "buttery" feel of forged irons, yet think the AP2s might not be forgiving enough for me and I want to enjoy the game. I keep reading the debates that one can not tell the difference between a cast and forged iron, which I don't buy. Yet I will hit them both. Anyway, here's my question. I also read that the more forgiving an iron, the less workable it is. I do not work the ball, would love to learn how, yet will rarely do so. BUT, would like to learn to curve the ball  around a tree, bush, etc. Even some doglegs. Can this be done with the AP1s?

    Thanks,

    Eddie

Eddie, I play 714 AP1's and I don't have any trouble working the ball. As a matter of fact I hit a 30 yard draw yesterday around a tree onto a green and today I broke. 80 for the first time. Shot 78 with two double bogeys. I absolutely love my AP1's.
