i recently got fitted for 714 CBs in x100 shaft. 1/2 upright, 1/2" long. I was wondering what the swingweight of them will be ?
My current set is ap2 with s300 standard everything. I'm guessing these are the advertised D2?
thanks

Hi Dave,
The AP2 with S300 and standard specs would come out to around D2 swing weight. The CBs with the X100 and +1/2" would swing weight at about D5. A good rule of thumb is 1/2"=3 swing weight points.
Thanks

Thanks Will. Do you think d5 is to heavy to play with? My head pro thinks it will pretty much be unnoticeable. If so what are some ways to lighten it ? Add weight to grip ?
Swing weight is something that relates to feel and feel can be perceived differently by each individual. I play clubs that are a little over standard length so they swing weight out at D4 and it has never bothered me. I believe finding clubs that are the correct length is more important than trying to hit a specific swing weight. You are correct that a heavier grip will lower the swing weight.
Thanks,
