I'm looking at getting a new 3 wood. Any suggestions of what to try?

I would definitely recommend the new 915 line that will be released soon.  The reviews that I have read from the few people that have been able to hit the 915's say they are incredible!  And long.

I would also definitely recommend getting fit for the this new line.

Yeah might as well hold off for the 915s. Can't wait to try them myself

Have heard the same on the 915 3 wood.....heard they are looooooooooong and accurate.......it's one a month and you might actually be able to be fitted and get a preorder in now if you check around.......

Whatever you decide, I'd wait a month or so.  With new lines being released, you might as well give those a try.  And if they don't work, older models will be on sale.

What 3 wood are you looking to replace and is there a particular reason you are replacing it?

Personally i would suggest trying a 4 wood. It was a real game changer for me.

Also think about what you want to do with the club and how it would fit at most of the courses you play.  For example, I knew my three wood would be played most from the tee or for very long holes.  So I went with a strong three that I can bomb off the tee when needed or reach long par 5s in 2 (or also reach the green on longer par 4s if I had a bad tee shot).  A lot of people are going with a 4 wood, and I think it's a great option because it's usually easier to hit.  But for what I needed, I wouldn't use it.  A 4 wood would be too long for most approaches on par 4s and lay-ups on par 5s, but too short off the tee and into long par 5s.

Think about what you want to get out of the club and then go from there.

I'm looking for a 3 wood that i can hit long. My current situation is that i hit my hybrid as far as my 3 wood. I need something that will give me more distanse off the tee and on par 5's.
  9. Sounds like you could use a 13.5 915F ... IMHO

Sounds like you're in the same boat as me.  I would go with the least amount of loft you can find and hit the way you want.  For me it was 14*.  I love it.  I lose very little off the tee when using it and it gives me that x-factor into long par 5s.
