Does Titleist use 2 different heads for steel shaft vs graphite shafts in the 714 irons? Or are the heads weighted the same and they just use the different shafts?

    Thanks!

Our standard graphite shaft for the AP1 irons is a low balanced shaft and as such, it swingweights out almost the same as the lightweight steel shafts.  We have a small range of head weights but only use them for a change in length, unless a swingweight is requested.

So the heads are the same off the assembly line? If I was to find a set with graphite shafts in them and change the shafts to steel it would be the same weight as a clubs shafted with steel from Titleist?
    Thanks!

Hi, It would depend on how much the steel shaft weighed and which graphite shafts.  If you are talking about Kurokage 65 Stiff flex shafts and XP 95 Stiff flex shafts, the swingweights would be within 1/2 swingweight.  If you are talking about DYG S300 (std wt) and Kurokage 65, the swingweights would come out within 1-2 swingweights.
