Hello so I have 712ap1's right now...thinking about a new set for the season...what yall like better the ap2's or cb's. I would greatly appreciate input on this dilemma

  2. if you are playing AP1's then I would consider hitting all the different models at a demo day.  A fitter at Titleist TPI in Oceanside said to me that most tour pro's want the most forgiving irons possible that they can control and like the feel...I personally went with the AP2's however a couple tour pro's are using the AP1's according to one person at TPI.

    Good Luck!

Thanks chris for taking the time to answer...yeah that was my plan, my buddy just got a combo set of 714 cb's and 714 mb's I really liked hitting his cb's with the longer irons but I am excited to try the ap2's...I've heard good things and keep seeing pros with the ap2's in there bag like Jordan Speith and Bill Haas

I would definately go get fit and see what works best for your game.  The logical move would be from the AP1s to the AP2s, a little more forgiving than the CBs, but they still have more playability.  But again the best thing would be to go hit both and see what you like best.

The AP2s are a sweet forgiving club. A great investment for me. The more I play with them, the greater our relationship.

i personally love my ap2's but i also love the CB's and MB's.  I hit them all and the AP2's are the best for me and my game, i highly recommend you do the same and not base it off what someone else uses whether they are amateur or pro.  They are all great irons, but what matters is what works for you, the type of shaft you go with will also have a significant impact.  Bottom line, hit them all and get fitted and have an open mind.

    just my $0.02

I hit both the AP2's & CB's when looking for new irons. For me the CB's felt the best and gave me the most distance. Tried both on two different occasions before making a decision. Wanted to make sure I got the same results before making the decision. I have been playing the CB's for almost a year now and wouldn't trade them for anything. As others have stated before the best thing would be to hit both and see what the numbers say and how they feel to you.

There a lot of combos that are being put together as well as the AP1/AP2s.....so check them all out......a certified fitter will put you in the right clubs....and best of luck....
  10. I bought the CB's last season and they are straight butter. They have the best feel and to me, look 100x better at address than the Ap2s. I love me some CB's

I like my 714 CB's. I prefer the look of the more compact head with cleaner lines. My buddy plays the Ap2's and loves his. Tough decision!!! I tend to go with what fits my eye the best, it doesn't make sense to play something that doesn't look good setting behind the ball.

I just received my AP2s so I am biased!  I truly think getting fit would be your best bet. Either way you can't lose!
