I'd like to get some input on buying a new hybrid and am torn between getting 2 or 3 hybrid?

I'll probably set the loft to about 19 or 20 Deg which would I could do with either but I want the longer shaft of the 2 hybrid.

Any comments about buying a 3 hybrid head with the 2 hybrid shaft.  The loft would end up being 20 or 19.25 degree?

OR buying a stock 2 hybrid and I can increase the loft up to 18.75 or 19.25?

    Thank you

I bought the 915H 18* and changed the loft to a 19.50.  I carry two other hybrids in my bag.  913H 16.25, and 23.25.  and my irons 5-PW.....AP2s.....I like the new hybrid and I would encourage you to go to a fitter or to a demo day and give them a try......

Thank you all for the replies.  I should have mentioned that I'm left handed which just makes trying clubs a little more difficult.  A lot of the stores won't have in stock a 2 Hybrid.

I was lucky enough that there a Titleist Demo day at one of the local stores.  I was able to hit both the 2 and the 3.  I found that the 3 worked better for me and gave me the distance I was seeking.  (He also helped me on my driver moved me from a 9.5 to 8.5 gaining some distance and accuracy)

It sounds like you need to go with getting the 2 hybrid. You will get the shaft length you want and will be able to still move the loft around to your liking. You could also get a custom order with the 3 and get a longer shaft put on it. I would definitely go get fit for it to come up with the best combination.

  5. You could also get a slightly longer shaft which would increase your distance...just another way of acheiving the same length.
