How much of a difference in "forgiveness" is there between the 714 AP2 and CB? I really love the look of the CB and I am contemplating upgrading to them.

AP2's are supposed to be more forgiving according to Titliest. I have just purchased the CB's and couldn't be happier. I personally like the feel of the CB over the AP2 when I make contact with the ball. CB for the win!

The AP2 is much more forgiving than the CB.

    Marcus,

I had the AP2s and just couldn't get entirely comfortable with them (top line too thick). After looking down at the MBs nothing compares. Train with the Tour Striker PRO X and both the CB and MB will feel like game improvement irons. I am finding the MBs to be more accurate than AP2s for me. Shot 37 first nine out with them. You won't go wrong with CB or MB if you put in the time.

I'd say it depends on what kind of a ball striker you are. I've played CB's forever and they're plenty forgiving if you ask me. I love the look and feel. Best way, as always, get on a monitor and get some data with both.

I played the 714CB's last year and have the 714AP2's this year.  I'd say the AP2's are noticeably more forgiving.  Both are superb irons.

    Marcus,

I played the 712 CB's and absolutely loved them.  With that being said, I changed assignments in my job and my practice time when down considerably.  I noticed that I wasn't able to hit them as well as I used to.  My game and scores started to worsen so I made the switch to the 714 AP2's.  I am extremely happy with the AP2's and, even with limited practice time I am able to hit the ball well and score the way I used to.  When I am able to practice again as much as I used to, I will switch back to the CB's.  Bottom line is if you are going to invest into a "blade" style club, you need to be able to maintain your game.  Good luck and hit em' straight!

    Greg
