  1. Thinking of shortening the shaft on my 915 D3 by 3/4-1inch in hopes of improving contact / consistency / accuracy. Can I order a new shaft direct from Titleist? Do I need to adjust swing weight? Thanks, Clay
  2. Hi Clay,

You are able to order a new custom length shaft from us through any authorized Titleist retailer, and a new swing weight screw will automatically be included to accomodate your preferred swing weight.

    Wait. Whoa! What?!

There is a swing weight screw? What happened to the adjustable weight in the head?

There isn't an "adjustable weight" in the head. There are different weight screws that are changed out to give different weight to the head.

I've played my driver at 44" for the last couple of seasons and I can't imagine going back to a longer shaft. There might be a small loss in club head speed, but it's much easier to find the center of the club face and the solid contact more than makes up for it from a distance stand point. I'm about 5' 9" for reference. I know my comment isn't related to the weight question, but just wanted to throw in my 2 cents about the shorter driver in general.
