Recently purchased a set of irons that are 1/2 longer, than standard , 2 deg upright, and thinking I should have went with 1" long as I had done with similar model set in past (I have measured them and the irons are exacty 1/2 in shorter each club). I feel I'm bending over to much and feel and note inconsistent impact. My concern is that I have a higher swing speed nowadays and have KBS tour X flex shafts in my irons as opposed to a PX 6.0 in past irons , new irons swing between a D3 and D4. I'm concerned if I extend them or get reshafted in same shaft they will feel very heavy like swinging bricks. Any recs on a lighter option? My needs are a shaft that keeps spin down as i have steep angle of attack and put a lot of spin on the ball (then again maybe a proper length shaft would flatten angle of attack). I read a couple places the Dynamic Gold SL are good options for people with shafts longer than standard as they stil, have specs c/w good player needs but I would get another 10-20 g lighter shaft which should compensate for the lengthening. How about graphite?
