I purchased the Titleist 915F 3 wood w/ Diamana D+ 80 S shaft, and a 915H 3 hybrid w/ Diamana D+ 90 S shaft.  These are the best 2 clubs of their kind that I've owned.  3 wood is so easy to hit off the tee and fairway, and ridiculously long and straight.  The hybrid doesn't balloon like a lot of hybrids, and is very accurate.

I'm thinking, if I like these two clubs this much... maybe I should buy the 915 driver with the Diamana D+ 70 shaft or 80 shaft.

When I was fit by a Titleist fitter on a LM a few years ago, he put me into the 913D3 because I produced too much spin with the D2.  And even then, I was still up in the 2800 - 3000 range.

It sounds like the D2 is really forgiving, and a lot of guys on tour are playing that head.  I'm concerned about spin, but I also want maximum forgiveness.  My miss is a hook.

How much spin difference between D2 and D3?

How much more forgiving, D2 vs D3?

Ball flight tendency, D2 vs D3?

The D2s do produce less spin.  Might check with a fitter on the new heads in that it has been a few hears since you have been fitted, if you want the maximum performance.  The new D4 is a consideration as well.

I have a 913 D2 12* and a 915 D3 10.5*. The 915 d3 at first was a little harder to hit flush but after a couple rounds i found its sweet spot. I must say it is less forgiving then the 913 but i can tell it goes farther and produces less spin. I got a deal on the 915 d3 and was going to sell or trade for a 915 d2 but after maybe a dozen rounds with it and bombing it, it has won a spot in the bag for now. As far as the D4 recommendation I also thought about trying a D4 head as it is a tad lower spinning then the D3 but you also lose more forgiveness. Before I drop $450+ on a driver head i would want to hit it on the course first which will probably never happen so I will stay content with my 915 d3.
