I find that many more experienced golfers use many different brands of clubs yet the pros do not. Is their an advantage to this? I personally find that if 1 club from a manufacturer works for me then their other products do to. This is why I made the transition to titleist which has improved my game significantly.what are your thoughts and do you use 1 or many brands of clubs.

P.s I did not just chose Titleist because 1 clubbed worked for me but that helped to guide me towards the brand. They are great clubs.

I personally like all my clubs from one manufacturer, in my case, all my clubs are Titleist. If I actually hit a different brands driver farther than my Titleist driver? I personally wouldn't care. I like being a Titleist guy.

  3. JMT-064, I'm the same way. Besides the Titleist brand is pure class. The other day I was playing with some guys and they said that my set was really good looking. That made me proud to be a Titleist guy. steve b

I know the feeling Steve. I can't tell you how many times I've had someone say how good my Titleist AP1's and 915 metals look. Especially in my brown/black Titleist Cart Bag.

I get compliments all the time at the course where I play.  One of the rangers at the course has tagged me as Mr Titleist.  Love it.  I have a Red/Black cart bag and you can't miss it with the white script Titleist on it.......Proud to be a member of TT.   My lightweight road bag has my name and TT logo on it with the old school Titleist Pom Pom head covers which also draw a crowd.  Love the classic look of the Titleist brand but with the updated technology.......

I also experienced the same thing when i played through a fourball and they remarked on how 'nice' my set was. it is a sign of the quality of Titleist equipment.

I love my clubs!!  Titleist makes a really good set of drivers and hybrids, it has changed my game. I'm really not interested in trying another brand.  I'm loyal.  I had a problem with a fitting and called Titleist and they sent me to club making and they told me that all they wanted to do is make me happy, you did times 10.  The bad part, my clubs were then stolen a month later.  Vokey is also a must!  Go Titleist.  TY

It is my opinion that you should play the clubs that perform the best for you regardless of the brand. Then you have to put a definition to "performance". Launch conditions and look at address are probably the biggest factors along with feel. Many pros play all one brand because they are paid to do so, or they are on staff. Others will mix sets up as they only have a contract for the bag and headcovers.

    Joshua,

I agree with Chris' statement that you should play whichever club helps you perform your best.  And with all of the fitting tools available, coupled with some great golf clubs, any certified fitter should be able to maximize your performance regardless of manufacturer.  But having played some other brands over the past decade, I never experienced the sense of community that Team Titleist offers.  Additionally, Titleist corporate has displayed a genuine interest in the opinions and experiences of amateur golfers like the population here at TT.  Their proven support for our game has made me a TItleist player for life.

If you go back to the days before large club endorsement contracts (>20 yrs ago) most of the pros had mixed bags. They played what worked best for them throughout the bag. Check out the WITB of the second tier Champions Tour players and also top amateurs that are not tied to big college programs. You'll see more mixed bags. Having said that, I feel Titleist is one of 2 or 3 manufacturers you can play throughout the bag and be very happy. I game all Titleist except for my trusty 2 ball putter:)

I think, for as long as the club is fitted to a player, no matter the brand, that's an advantage in itself.

Like you and many here, I am becoming a Titleist man by default.  Over time, I'm finding Titleist the superior club across the board for me- but of course they look great, too- thank goodness.

My irons and hybrid aren't Titleist yet.  My eyes are on a set, and I test and compare as I go without making quick decisions.  I just want it to work its way and prove to my capabilities by default.

I believe that it is important to have the clubs in your bag that work best for your game. Personally, I have found that to be Titleist, but it took me a while to get there. I started with Vokey wedges and with the introduction of the AP2's, I quickly moved my irons over as well. Now that the AP2's are in their 4th generation, I have played all of them and can say that all have been great and I am looking forward to the 916 AP2's. When the 910 woods came out I moved over my Driver and 3-Wood and have updated those clubs through the 913's and 915's. When the Futura X Dual balance came was introduced, I finally found a Scotty that worked for me and the putter was Titleist too. My last hold out was my hybrid. With the introduction of the 915Hd, Titleist came out with a hybrid that looked good to my eye and I could hit a mile so the switch was made. Finally the whole bag was Titleist. I guess the bottom line here is that all of the clubs in my bag are Titleist, but it took a little while for me to get there. As I found a Titleist club that performed the best for me, I switched over. With a full Titleist bag I can say that I have the best performing clubs for my game and plan to keep it there. Once you are playing the best, it is hard to play anything less. Without a doubt I am a Titleist player for life.

    Hey guys

I've recently made the jump to an all-Titleist bag this year after a fitting. Decided it was time to have no more excuses about "the clubs" being the issue. Used to play all sorts of different manufacturers before this season but now I'm officially sold on the Titleist product. Definitely the closest you can get to a "tour issue" club that you can get from straight off the rack. Currently playing 915 metals and a lovely mixed bag of AP2s, 714 CBs and 714 MBs. Of course a set of Vokeys as well. Best decision I've ever made. Hopefully will be able to get my CPGA Professional Status next season!

It's all about hitting a solid club and for most, what is in your budget.  I starting hitting Titleist wedges back in 2005 and then picked up my first Titleist drivers, used, those being 983 and 905s.  I was fortunate in 2013 to finally get a set of Titleist Irons as I wanted a set of DCI's back in the day.

Since hitting Titleist, I don't know if I can go to another brand.

So right now my bag has nothing but Titeist clubs taking me around the golf course.  And couldn't be happier.

Titleist clubs are like having tool made for golf in your hands. My club has various demo days during the year and like everyone else I'll try stuff on the range for comparison. But, there is no comparison to Titleist.
