I decided to upgrade my 915 D2 shaft and purchased one with a Titleist tip. When taking the stock shaft out, the entire screw assembly came apart, and I saw that the two black washers that are part of the assembly were actually torn apart. I guess they still functioned due to the parts being compressed in the area the shaft is inserted.
When I inserted the new shaft I no longer had any black washers, and now I can hear a "rattling" sound in the heel of the club. The shaft connection to the head is also not tight enough, and I can twist it a little.
Does anyone know what kind of rubber washers these are, and where you can get replacements? Also, since they were badly beaten up, I don't even know the "order" of assembly of the four (4) parts of the screw assembly (two metal parts and two washers). Is the order, with the head turned upside down... screw head (of course, where you insert the wrench), a washer, the metal "ring," and then another washer to keep the metal ring from falling off?
Any help you can provide this pitiful wretch is appreciated, thanks.
