    Hey all,

I recently switched to a 913 fairway wood and I've been thinking about changing out the shaft.  The current shaft is regular flex and just doesn't feel the same as my old setup (stiff).  What would I need to do to to pull the the shaft out of my old 3 wood and rig it to my 913?  I'm assuming that I will need to purchase a new ferrul from Titleist.

I'm not opposed to trying it myself, but I think i would be better off having someone do it.  I live in the St. Louis area (Metro East) and would be open to a recommendation if anyone is local..

    Cheers!

Hi Duston,  We would recommend getting fit with Brian Coe over at The Quarry at Crystal Springs in St. Louis.  He is our local Tech Rep in the area and will be able to make sure you are getting the correct shaft as well as flex for your fairway.  Please know that we don't sell or distribute the adaptor so you will not be able to find a new adaptor for your old shaft.

Thanks Cathi!  I'm not exactly thrilled about the answer, but I appreciate the knowledge and your recommendation.  Hopefully, the response will help someone else too.

Dustin, don't worry. I had all of my 913 long clubs reshafted, 11 in total. The stock shaft slips right off and new shafts slip right in. Being a fairway wood you will need a .335 tip to fit into the adapter. Nothing to it.

    Good to know.  Thank you!
