    Need some help here,

Went for a fitting at an advanced fitting center, Greatest fitting experience I have ever been envolved with. I have already got everything set except for my irons. My fitter suggested KBS Tour iron shafts but it appears I will need to order that configuration. Does anyone carry that stock off the shelf. So I don't have to wait for them.

    Hi Dwayne,

Great to hear that you had an awesome fitting experience. Titleist always does a great job with that. You should go with what you were fitted for and not comprise your game with the wait time. I don't believe any golf shop or retailers carry any Titleist irons with any other shafts beside their "stock" shafts, which is usually a True Temper (AMT for T-MB, CBs and AP2; TT XP()s for AP1s and TT S300 for MB).

Even though there's not an upcharge for the KBS tour shaft, they usually mass produce some stock items to be shipped off to the stores and TT shafts are so popular that they use those. If you order your irons, you should get them in a couple of weeks (depending on when you order them since it's the holiday season). But the quicker you get your order it, the faster you will get them.  Tileist is great a getting things built and shipped out as soon as they can.

    Play well!

    I'm considering the 716 AP2s. (5 - pw)

I've tried the 714 AP2s in a couple different shafts.

I'd like to go a little lighter as I'm pushing 60 (9 handicap) and the swing is slowing down.

    I hit my 7 iron 150 - 155 yards. Should I stay with stiff?

I've looking at the TT  XP 115 (S300) and KBS C Taper Lite (S) but have not hit them.

I'm playing TT DG S300 (sensicore) right now.

What shaft would be close to the Dynamic Gold without going too light?

    Thanks

    Dave

i would go with s300 or maybe the s200 if that isn't to light for you.

    Hi David,

I would personally go and get fitted properly as you say your swing is getting slower and you're not getting any younger.

I would steer clear of DG S300 as I don't think you'll be swinging it fast enough to get the best out of the shaft, TT XP 95 S300

is a great shaft for a smooth tempo and to get the ball in the air.

Have not heard of any brick and mortar stores carrying them.  Of course anything is possible.

Everything that i have had custom build for me, i have had no problems and i could not be happier with it. i would custom order them because in the end it will be worth it.

Dwayne, Order your fitted irons from a Titleist stockist, that way it's one less thing to worry about on your swing thoughts as you know you were fitted for them.

Only yourself to blame if the shot dosen't come off, ha ha

You'll be better off ordering them. Mine arrived within 2 weeks, two days before Christmas. As a side note, getting the correct shafts in your irons can easily add 10-15 yards to your iron shots by producing shots with the proper amount of spin. For example, my spin rate with a 7-iron was 7,250 rpm. The AMT S300 lowered the spin to below 5,500 and added almost 12 yards. Get fitted!

My advice is to order the irons with the suggested shafts so if you hit a bad shot shot you won't be wondering if it was the club. I have KBS Tour shafts in my AP2 714s and really like them. In my experience Titleist turns custom orders around very fast. What seems to add the most time is shipping them to the east coast from the west coast. Once you go through a good fitting the wait is horrible because all golfers want anything that will enhance their games but in the end you will be thrilled you waited.
