  1. So today I had just bought a set of 714 AP2 irons, which I had always wanted since Ive never owned a set of titleist irons. Now I know that these irons have forgiveness but I just wanna know if the irons will be difficult to play after I have used png i25s.

    Hi Collin,

I think you will do fine. It will take some time at the range to get a better feel for them.

I trust that you were fitted for these clubs and that they were built with the most appropriate shaft for your swing, etc. If not, it could be an exercise in frustration if your shafts are mismatched to your swing.

I was playing the i25's prior to switching to the 714 AP2's. I was fitted for them and it still took a little bit of practice time on the range to get myself more comfortable with the clubs, the shafts, etc. It also took me a few sessions to nail down my distances with the clubs.

I have not regretted it one bit. I love my AP2's, the feel of a forged club is fantastic. I think that there is no better feeling in all of golf than striking the ball on the sweet spot of a forged iron!

So in short, I think you will do fine -- just be patient and don't hesitate to put some time in on the range to get better acquainted with them!

I have also just made the switch from png i25's to the 716 AP2. I received my AP2 yesterday and can honestly say they are no more difficult to hit. I absolutely love them. I realise you have ordered the 714 but from what i have read, there is not a huge amount of difference between 716 and 714. I'm sure they will be absolutley perfect.
