3 Iron shaft vs. 3 utility Iron shaft

    Does anyone of you guys know if one is using the same shaft for a 3 CB iron and a 3 utility iron, or if you usually have different.

    I have the DG S200 shafts on my CB irons

    I have a CB 716 2 iron with the C Taper Stiff shaft, I have a TT Dyn Gold stiff shaft in the 3 iron of my 716 MB irons and I also carry a 1 iron which is actually a 17* 3 Iron (TM rsi1 ) bent to 15.5* with a Kurokage graphite shaft.

    Each club is used for different conditions etc.

    Work out exactly what you are using the Utility Iron for and then get a shaft fitted to match...

    eg my 2 iron is used on windy days and on 3 long par 3 holes..... the 1 iron is used on very calm days

    Play DG S 300's in my irons. When I got my 712 U 3 iron, it had a prototype Recoil stiff shaft . Played it for about 3 months and had it one afternoon. Took it to my club guy and he put a DG S300 in it and I have loved it since that day. Recoil was too light for me and my miss was a hook. ( too quick). S300 is perfect, can even fade it some now. I play it off the tee and out of the fairway. Like it so much I'm afraid to swap it out for the new T-MB.
