  1. I have been hearing the new 716 CB clubs have been built to play like the AP2 714 as far as being as forgiving.

    Is this accurate?

That is what I heard as well. Look forward to the feedback on this.

Hi Guys. I have the 716 CB with TT DG AMT stock shaft, 7i-PW. I've been playing it since November 2015. I came from playing a very forgiving/offset club. I have also hit and tried the 716 AP2 in my upgrade process. I went with the CBs because of its feel primarily, and its playability fit for me. It isn't as forgiving as my old clubs, obviously, but the CBs are very playable and forgiving for a 9.2 index golfer like myself. I have never been obsessed with irons shaped shots with delight each time I've gone out...I'm not sure it would ever wear out of me that I get more excited to set up to my next shot with these irons each time I go out.

Test it, go to a place where they'll let you hit it with different shafts or even a store that would let you take an iron for a day or two and see for yourself. Then get fitted for it.

I wasn't in a leisure to have done that advice, but I did my home work by having been to stores as many times to try and hit it (at the time it was the previous model), but I am very fortunate to have found that I own a better club than the prior model.

    Best.

I have the 716 CB 3-P, with the added tungsten weight they offer more forgiveness. They play very similar to my 712 AP2's as far as forgiviness. They are easy to launch, however I have to watch out with 3-6 irons when I hit a little high in the face they tend to float and come up short due to the tungsten. I like the new iron technology so much I ditched the hybrid in lieu of the T-mb 2 iron
