  1. I have a set of 714 AP1 4-9, P, W and also just came over 8,9,P in AP2 and I want to combine the AP1 and AP2s.

    Further I have 52, 56 and a 58 (bent from 56) SM5 Vokeys.

    Last season I played the AP1 4-W, the 52 and the 58.

The fact that AP2 are somewhat weaker in loft leaves a 6 degree gap between the AP1 7 iron and AP2 8 iron. Then between AP2 P (46 deg) and the AP1 48 there is only a 2 degree difference. So I need to do some adjustments (bending).

Should I make the AP1 weaker, or the AP2s stronger? Also I could get rid of the AP2 48 deg wedge in, and lower the 52 to 50 and the 56 to 54. How much can you bend a Vokey with good results, is 2 degrees too much?

    Any feedback welcome!

I have a real close setup as you. I got an ap1/ap2 combo set ap1(5-7) ap2(8-Pw) with a 48,52,56,60 wedge setup. I am in the process of getting my ap2 irons bent 2 degrees strong to fill in the gap between my 7-8 iron and my pw and 48. So now all the irons should have a 4 degree difference in loft. My pro told me that I shouldnt notice the difference in the bounce from bending the irons strong. Hope that helps.
  3. I did a similar set up but what I did was a 3 and 4 AP1 Iron, 5-PW AP2...I kept the lofts the same on the AP2 but weakened one degree the AP1's.

    Good Luck!
