How is everybody like the D4? Is it much different than the D3 as far as forgiveness? Is it longer with the lower spin?

I am a fitter in Michigan and have had the D4 for almost a year in my kit. I have pulled it out only about five times in the numerous fittings I have done. This is because most people find it a struggle to keep it straight. With the weight forward it kind of hits it out their like a knuckle ball in baseball. To answer your question it can be longer than the D3 with less spin however, most people struggle with keeping it straight.

Thanks Jimmy. I have one on the way and I will see how it goes. I am not very confident already after hearing more about it.

I am with Jimmy I played the D4 for 2 days when you strike it in the middle it does further but like Jimmy said it will stray more times than not. I have the D3 and very consistent with it also trying a few things over the next couple of weeks with the D2 trying to get the spin down because it is a lot more forgiving on the mishits and the yardage loss on miss hits is very minimal. I thought I was a good fit for the D4 but after playing it I quickly realized the mistake I made.

I have had the d4 for 4 weeks. I am a 6 HC. I have found this club to be outstanding. Low spin great ball flight. Penetrating ball flight. Switched from a TM sldr. Maintained both distance and accuracy. I use the Diamana blue 72 gram x flex. So far so good.

Am I oversimplifying it to say it's just consistency of contact in the middle of the face that makes this club such an issue? Full disclosure, there's been one in my bag for two weeks, along with a foot + of snow on the ground so I'm antsy to game it, but I hit it 25 times or so on the range and liked what I saw.
