  1. HI Looking for some help with shaft fitting. I am looking at 716 AP2 irons for play this season. I am currently playing a nippon pro stiff shaft that I believe is 100g. My current ball flight is very high and I would like a more penetrating trajectory. I have a quick transition and was hoping a slightly heavier shaft would lead to better transition at the top, more penetrating ball flight. My pro is suggesting an Xstiff shaft. Driver swing speed is 105 and I am 6'2" tall so I will be getting the clubs .5" over standard length. thanks for any input

I can't emphasis this enough, get fit from a qualified Titleist fitting center. You won't regret it.

Agreed, I use KBS Tour - Stiff (I think 120 g) w/ AP2 and you'll get the most out of your investment by going through the fitting process.

PGA super store has free fitting. If one is near you take advantage of it.

Agree with Gary D to get a proper fitting. When you're there be sure to try the AMT shaft.

I had the same issue with a way-too-high ball flight and moved to the AMT very successfully

Agree - just got fitted at the Titleist fitting centre at Spring Valley Golf Club in Melbourne for AP2s. Took 1.5 hours to arrive at the shaft, length, etc.
    Worth every penny.

    Grindelwald,

Same as Gary I strongly suggest to get fit professionally

I really don't understand why so many people want to leave this important help away. Surely you also try on new shoes before buying them

What Gary said.. Best way to go...
  9. like everyone said, get fitted. I would say that I have similar driver swing speed and my iron swing speed is about 95. Currently my irons are x-stiff.
