I just replaced my 909F2s (15.5 & 18.5) with new 915Fs (15 & 18). Having a bit of an adjustment period with these now. Overall distance is greater with the 915Fs, but ball light is much lower. This is something I am not quite comfortable with. Anyone having a similar experience?

Also, I am get no curve with the 915Fs. The 909's I could draw or fade fairly easily (love the 18.5 for that) but neither of the 915s seem to want to turn.

    Any comments are appreciated.

The difference may be in the shafts between 909 and 915 for the ball flight. What are the specs on that end to tell more of the story? Also the 909 is a smaller head, which could contribute to the increased workability from R-L and L-R. You can increase to 15.75* which would be closer to the 909 loft which will launch higher in theory.

I concur with Robert -- the shaft plays a significant role in the balls trajectory/flight and it is worth looking into that aspect of your new Fairway clubs.

Labe, were you fitted for the clubs in a full on fitting session? If not, perhaps it would be worth your while to take them to a full on certified fitter and put them through their paces.

As for my own experience, and what it is worth, I have been playing the new 915F (3-wood/15 degree) and after a short adjustment period, I have been quite pleased with the club. I find it very easy to shape the ball off the tee with it and to a lesser extent off the deck as well.

Regardless, I do hope that you get the issues sorted out ... we are just coming into the full golf season and your Fairway woods are a big part of your bag.
