  1. I have a 43" select. Wanting to put reg length shaft. Is the head the same as reg length putter

  2. Hi Robert,

We would not recommend trying to cut down or re-shaft your 43" putter to standard length because the head weights are dramatically different, and the shaft tip diameter is larger on your club than a standard putter.

    Hi Rsirvello,

What type of putter is it?

If it's a Scotty Cameron, you can send it into the Scotty Cameron shop to have them make the necessary changes and you know it will be done correctly and the specs will be spot on.

But it's hard to help with your question, since we don't know the type of putter and cutting it down from 43" to 35" (which is pretty standard), would really change how the putter feels since it wasn't designed for that shaft and shaft length.
  4. 43" select putter would indicate to me that it is a Dual Balance or old Belly length putter....if that is the case for either of these the head is much heavier and you would need to change out the sole weights to lighter ones potentially.

I agree with Chris that the shaft is also different, it is much larger in diameter. However, you could cut it down to 3" longer than the desired length of your normal putter length and install a DB Putter Grip with or without the 50 gram butt weight and see how it works...I have done this via experimentation and it is not bad...

    Good Luck!
