  1. I have played the CVB 712 line for a few years now and I think its one of the best clubs i've ever played with. I am not playing as much as i did and now I am three years older (creeping towards 48), so I am wondering if I should make the switch to the Ap2 line. Has anyone played both clubs?

    any thoughts are appreciated.

    Bragg Creek,

I haven't played the 716 AP2's, but previous incarnations of that iron have felt a little better when you catch them a groove low or a little towards the toe, where the CB's can be a touch harsher in comparison. I found the AP2's flew a little higher than the CB's (both with X-100's). I guess the thing that I liked is that they weren't all that different aside from the top line, a little smoother feel off-centre and a touch of ball flight. Both are great!

The new CB 716 have tungsten in the toe and heal to give a much bigger sweet spot and reviewers say it is equal to the AP2 in feel and forgiveness. But if you are wanting a new look AP2 is different. If the question is CB 712 or AP2 716 I would do AP2 716. But I would do CB 716 over AP2 716 based on looks for me.
