Hi I have been a member of the site for a while but now that I have completed my full switch to Titleist I thought it was about time I shared my first post. I haven't been a member of a club for a while but play to around a 10hcp. I have used Vokey wedges and Scotty Cameron putters for a while but otherwise have always had a mixed bag. This started to change with the addition of a 19 and 24 deg 913 hybrids following a few trials with other brands that just did not really work. However the 913s are fantastic but I am yet to try the newer versions. I then moved to the 913 driver and despite going through a full fitting and hitting it really well I could never transfer that to the course. I then moved to a TM SLDR for a while and got good results from it. I tested the 915 next as a bit of fun really and couldn't believe how much of an improvement it was for me over the 913 and that has been in the bag ever since. I have used miz irons for a few years now and really enjoyed the MP53 but found that as I am not playing as much at the moment they didn't help me out much as my consistency dropped a bit. I thought the AP2 (714) were fairly similar to my miz so I tried the AP1 and haven't looked back since. They are great to hit, give consistent distances and are forgiving when you need it. I know they may be considered a higher handicappers club, I would recommend them to anyone.

I personally think if the AP1's fit you then that's all that really matters. I know scratch golfers that use them because they want forgiveness. Even professionals miss the sweet spot sometimes. miz makes a beautiful club, just not to forgiving if you're not playing a lot. Just my 2 cents.

Congratulations on your switch. It sounds like you've been taking the right steps through club fitting. I've played a full bag of Titleist clubs for several years and have never been disappointed.

Your story is oddly similar to mine. I also play off 10 handicap. Titleist 913 hybrids were the first in my bag. I then went to the 913F before switching to the 915 Fd & 915 D3 driver after having mixed results from my SLDR 430. I now have mostly Titleist throughout my bag. The irons are the only clubs left for me to switch out. I play MP64's at the moment. I was just fitted for the new 716 CB irons during the Titleist Thursdays. I was hitting them farther and more consistent than the 716 AP2's. You can't go wrong with any Titleist club in your bag.

That's great! Hoping to start my switch soon. I went with some cheap clubs and free ones I picked up here and there to get into the game and need to start upgrading!

Thanks for the replies. Walter A, I completely agree with you. If the club works for you, that's all that matters.
Liv2golf - our set ups were very similar. Hope the cb's work out for you.

I couldn't agree more Walter A - if the club works the club works. Liv2Golf I tried the CB and the AP2 and they are both great clubs. I hope the CB work out for you.

Congratulations. I am sure you will be very happy. I just ordered my fourth set of Titleist irons, since I took up the game in 1985. AP1s for me. At 69, I feel that I should not have to work so hard. Did the Thursday fitting with the Tech Rep in my community and loved the feel and performance of the club. Bought two SM6 wedges and another Cameron putter. My bag is 100% Titleist and lovin' it also.

I too played Miz and switched to AP1 6 iron and AP2 7-PW. Got 915 D2 driver and Scotty Moto. Wedges are Miz and two X hot hybrids. Slowly making complete change to Titleist.

I have almost completed my titleist transformation as well ap2, volky and a scotty last year, bought the 816 hybrids and 915 2 wood this year and hope to switch the driver when the new one gets released.
I have gone from a 15 cap down to 9.4.

I too am all Titleist again after trying or rather listening to way too many friends golf store sales people and ads on other brands (would be really upset if I bought 900 dollars and they put new set three months or less after I'm sold on the lastest and greatest from them (hint) any ways Titleist is the best in all areas of the golf game products

I agree with all of you. Titleist is IMHO the best clubs out there. Up until last year I played the Titleist 735's and just picked up the 714cb's 3-PW last fall. Also let my 905T go. Tried the 907/909 but they just didn't beat out the 905T. Then got 913D3(9.5*)/913(15*0) on a whim last year until I tried out 915D2/3. Boom Now my Titleist lightweight cart bag carries 915D3 8.5*/915fd15*/915f18*/915hd20.5*/ SM5 50/54. And an 1981 Titleist Napa style putter. Dropped the 3i and go with the 714's 4-PW. ProV1. 66 years old and play to an 8 hdcp. Thanks Titleist for being the best in the business. Recently joined TT and love all the info in the discussions. Keep up the good work
