3 weeks ago, I ordered a set of AP2 w/Nippon Modus3 105 shafts. Was told I'd have them in 3-4 weeks. Backorder was just updated to May 19th (which could or could not change). 7 weeks to get clubs, for a golf season that is short, is fairly unacceptable. Is there anyone out there that is able to help?

    Thanks! DR

Dave, I'm sorry to hear about your club delays. I just looked at the shaft options list and that shaft is listed as an "exotic". That generally means that they are not in stock and are ordered as needed. Sometimes the supplier just doesn't have stock available. It is out of Titleist's control and I can assure you that they keep on top of the supplier's to get the shafts. They hate it when customer's don't get their clubs in a timely manner.

I'm a very impatient person and know how you feel. I would check first and see if you could get them from another place that would guarantee faster shipping and if so would cancel the order. This way you would get better results one way or the other. It's worth the try.

The only reason for a delay from a retailer is that they didn't actually place the order with Titleist in a timely manner. Once Titleist has the order, it doesn't matter what retailer placed the order it just becomes a matter of inventory. Changing retailers will only help if the first one never placed your order.
  5. I just purchased my first set of Titleist irons, wanted ap2's but wasn't in stock so I got ap1's, I'm extremely happy with my new set but couldn't figure out why the 2's weren't available. I wasn't even looking for a custom set, just a reg flex shaft
