Wrong shafts ?

    Recently bought Ap 2 714 from American golf with 30 day trial. They said I was on the cusp of stiff even though the gizmo was recommending KBS shaft. I went with s300 as they said I could change them . Love the clubs but losing distance and they're hard to swing. Any advice before I go back ? How heavy are the s300? A mate said that with my swing speed(77) I should never have been allowed to leave with them!

    The True Temper S300 steel shaft weighs between 127-130 grams. These are pretty heavy. You don't say what club your 77 MPH swing speed is with so it would be very hard to fit you for a shaft without actually seeing you swing.

    It does sound like you might prefer a lighter shaft. You may like the True Temper XP90, 95-97 grams, a bit better. If you find the S300 hard to swing, you may also try an R200/R300.

    Thanks. Swing speed was measure with a club with some kind of device on it. The launch monitor was broken. I'm a bit miffed that they let me take them. Didn't really feel that heavy until I got them in course. My previous rifle shafts were 110 - don't really know enough about it. Taking them back to AM this week- hope they honour their 30!day exchange. Love the look of the clubs too - hope I can have same with lighter shaft
