917 Driver and Fairways

    So its been a while since I last posted on here due to a fairly busy schedule!

    Having seen photos of the new Titleist 917 driver and fairways it's making me incredibly excited for their release this autumn! I'm already set on getting fit for the driver as I'm still playing the 913D2 ... seriously considering getting myself a 3 wood to go with it.

    Everybody else as excited as I am to test them out? And also does anybody know if there will be a 917 rescue/hybrid or are they just sticking with the 816 range?

    The Hybrids are more related to irons than woods, so the series 716 for irons and 816 for hybrids (released less than a year ago) are the latest generation so I think they will change until the end of 2017 to 718 for irons and 818 for hybrids.

    I love the looks.
    But I'm loving my 913 right now. She knows that, if she doesn't continue to produce, her sister may be in my bag. I'm convinced that little bitty threat works.

    I'll hit the 917, as planned, but it's gonna have to be special for me to make a move.....I've been hitting my 913 ridiculously well lately, knock on wood!!......lol

    I agree, they look awesome! I'm planning on getting myself a 917 3 wood.

    Yes, the new 917s look great. I too am interested, particularly in the FWs. If history is any indication, usually new Titleist irons are released in November and the woods are released for retail after the PGA show in Orlando in the winter. So you may have to wait until later than you think to buy them. Either way, it will be worth the wait.

    Yeah it does make a lot of sense to match your hybrids in with your irons rather than the woods. Just be curious to see if there is a new release already. Hopefully not because the 816 is the best hybrid I've had by far!

    Playing the 913 driver currently and will be buying the 917 driver. To go with my 716 MB's irons, can't wait

    I am waiting for them to come out. Currently using the 913 driver and 3 wood. Think I am going for the driver, 3 and 5 wood in the 917. From what I have seen & heard they are awesome. Can't wait.!!

    Plan on testing the 917f 15* the end of September. Need an upgrade and different shaft. See what the fitter recommends. Do like the Speeder Motore Tour shaft. 915D2 treating me right.

    My 913 D2 is a salvage operation (915 shaft) from my mistake of going to a box store and being convinced what was on the shelf fit me. I'm so looking to getting a full fitting on it with a 917 and getting it right the first time. Wish I could get it in September to use it this year before the tundra freezes over for the season.

    just bought the 716 CBs and stood off buying the 915 Driver and FW wood - hit some shots with the 917 which has a much better feel and control from my PoV, but I think this is really something personal, Titleist got me for sure as a buyer for the 917

    I am currently playing the 910 D2 10.5 and the 910 F 15 degree. I am planning on purchasing the 917 D and the 917 F with the help of my fitter. These clubs are up against some tough competition. I am confident Titleist is up to the challenge. I am 100% Titleist for all of my golf equipment/accessaries.

    It took me a while to get the distance and accuracy with the 915 and 716 to where they feel trully remarkable as the 913 and 714 once did. At 50, circa 10 hcp, 280+ distance, what improvement can I expect from the 917? A demo day does not feel sufficient enough. Ideas?

    I am also very interested in the 917 & fwy. Though like several of you here my 910 driver is also performing nicely. So it will have to make me go WoW!

    Very very interested in the 917 line. If the rumors are correct, it's going to be huge.
