I went from AP2 with stiff heavy shafts to the AP1 with Reg lite weight shafts and now back to AP2 with reg DG AMT. I don't like the long irons and I'm considering the TMB or AP1 in the 4-5-6 irons. Does anyone have experience with both the TMB and AP1 long irons? Are the TMB as playable as the AP1 as far as forgiveness? Love the look of TMB and don't like the offset of the AP1. Suggestions?

I went from AP1 to TMB. 4 thru PW and am very happy. Great look with plenty of distance and forgiveness. KurokageTiNi stiff +1 in both sets.

Hi Doug H, I would suggest that you go visit a Titleist fitter and try them out. The T-MBs are fantastic clubs and will perform beautifully. However, I think you need to try them with a regular light weight shaft similar to the ones that you have in the new AP2's.
Where I live, the fitter had to have a couple of demo clubs brought in with the regular flex, lightweight shafts for me to try. I loved them! I am bit older now and not a kid anymore, so my swing speed is not where it once was, and I appreciated the lighter shaft!

Go try them Doug and see what you think. And I would personally appreciate hearing how you made out and what you eventually decided to do.

From one Doug to another, I too, would like to hear more about the forgiveness of the T-MB compared to the AP1-716. I play AP2-716s PW-7i and AP1-716s in 6i & 5i (for added forgiveness), all with the same XP90 shaft. Though I hit the AP1 well, I don't like the oversized look. I love my AP2s. Gorgeous irons, with which I feel I have great control. If I could hit the T-MB as well as the AP1, without losing any forgiveness, I think I might consider a switch to them, just to satisfy my preference for a more player-like looking head when I am standing over them. No complaints otherwise with the AP1s.

Thanks for your responses. I haven't done anything yet because Titleist Thursday are also my golf days. I 'm considering a lighter shaft with a higher trajectory. Other than know that is what I want I haven't done anything yet. Looking for input on re-shafting or buying new with the correct shafts.
