I currently play 716 MB irons and I love them...when I am hitting the center. Before this I had 710CB and then 714 AP2 Irons. I would love to see Titleist come out with an AP3 iron with the same longer blade length that the AP2 has but with less offset and a more narrow sole and topline. I know this would likely kill the CB line but I am ok with that. I think putting as much technology as possible and hiding it in a smaller clubhead with less offset would attract a lot of players. What do others think? I know I would put it in my bag...and probably my kids as soon as they reach junior high.

I think Titleist has it just right, two category's of irons and two choices in each.

I like the AP line being two choices then the CB/MB being another category. I think adding a third AP line would confuse a lot of people. Just my opinion.

Have you checked out the T-MB? That may be what you're looking for if you haven't.
  4. Not sure. I have the 716 CB's and love them. Would probably go with the MB if they got rid of the CB's

I think you just described the CB... LOL!
    -tungsten... check!
    -less offset... check!
    -narrow sole/topline... check!

I doubt they're gonna make an "AP3" for a longer blade length given they've checked off your wants above in a model they don't need to create a new marketing campaign for.
  6. Love ap2 irons there the benchmark. Is it just me but every company try's to compare there product to ap2 every year and just don't deliver. For me I would like to see maybe stronger lofts a bit extra yardage wouldn't hurt anyone

Thanks for the comments...I guess the CBs might fit me best, but I wish they had a little longer blade length like the AP2. I think I'll stick with the MBs for now. I've been hitting them really well lately
