  1. I recently bought a set of AP2 irons, and didn't realize they were custom made 4 degree upright. Can the they be bent back to standard lie or even 1 degree flat?

Will need someone else to chime in here but 4 degrees seems like a lot. Could weaken the metal. I thought the max was 2-3 degrees.

Would recommend speaking with a certified Titleist repair shop in your area.

That is a lot, but if I understand correctly, Titleist doesn't do it because it will leave a mark and void the warranty.

If the clubs were my own, I'd have no problem doing it, but I may do them slowly, like 2* and then leave them for a week, hit some shots with each club, and then a week later go the other 2*. not sure it'll make any difference, but that's what I would do.

You aren't going to break a club by bending such a small amount as 4*. Maybe if you went 15-20 degrees... Metal does bend, especially forged metal.
  5. Yeah seemed like a lot to me also, that's what worries me. Thanks
  6. That sounds like a smart plan B.A., maybe that's what I'll do. Not too worried about leaving a mark just don't want to compromise the strength of the irons. Thanks
  7. I had a set of 712 cbs that were bent up and down 3 different times. They seemed to be fine after that. My guy is very careful and slow when he bends clubs for me. I think it's all about that.
  8. Good news to hear, I'm gonna take them in tomorrow and see what they can do. Thanks
